Bacteria are present in the broth outside the organism. Colonies grow over time, and wandering bacteria can come and attack.
Defend
Bacteria live in the broth, grow in colonies and can infect chunks; launchers, defensins and hemocytes help defend the organism.
Launch defensins
Launchers throw defensins at bacteria. The improved launcher uses energy and has a higher rate of fire than the small launcher.
Hemocytes
Hemocytes are primordial immune cells that can move outside, explore the surroundings and attack bacteria.
